Price, group size & times

Beginner group day courses in Lymm

The beginner photography course is £100 per person; the Lightroom course is £160 per person. Both run from 10am–4pm. A course runs with at least 3 learners and is limited to 5, giving everyone time for questions and individual guidance.

Refreshments and access to the optional private course WhatsApp group are included. Lunch arrangements will be confirmed with the session details. Equipment, travel, parking and Adobe software are not included.

Portrait evenings in Lymm

Practise female portrait photography with a professional model. The evening costs £20 per person, runs from 7pm–9pm and has a maximum of 8 photographers, giving everyone time behind the camera.

The date, model, venue, lighting setup and practical arrangements will be confirmed for each evening. Explore the portrait session.

Private tuition

For one person or a small private group, we agree the activities, date, length, location and total price before booking. Any travel, parking or venue charges are discussed and included in the agreed arrangements. The published group-course prices and timetable apply to those group courses.

Free Sunday walks

The Sunday photo walks in Lymm are free, informal social walks with no formal tuition. See the walk page for planned dates and how to let me know you’re coming.

Dates & preferences

Group course and portrait evening dates in Lymm are being arranged around learners. On the enquiry form, share dates or days that work for you. For private tuition, you can also suggest a location, starting time and session length; these are agreed individually before booking.

For the published group courses and portrait evenings, Emanuele compares responses and emails a proposed date, venue and programme when a compatible group comes together. Private lessons are arranged directly with you. An enquiry does not reserve a place or take payment.

Tuition in English or Italian

Emanuele is bilingual and can teach the whole lesson in English or Italian. Choose your preferred teaching language on the enquiry form.

A private lesson taught entirely in Italian can be arranged for one person or a small group. If you are learning Italian, you can also combine photography with informal Italian conversation and English explanations when helpful. Photography remains the focus. Explore the language options and tell me your starting level and how many people would attend.

In Lymm, or at an agreed location

The published group courses and portrait evenings take place in Lymm, Cheshire. Private photography and Lightroom tuition can be arranged at home, at work or outdoors in a suitable location across Cheshire, Liverpool and Manchester, generally within about 50 road miles of Lymm each way. See the areas where I teach. If your area is not listed, get in touch to discuss it.

For Lymm group sessions, the indoor venue is selected for each date, depending on the activities, availability and number of attendees. The Spread Eagle is a preferred option, but is not a confirmed or permanent course venue.

For every booked session, the exact meeting point, parking information and access arrangements will be provided before a booking is finalised. Please tell Emanuele about any access or mobility requirements when enquiring, so the suitability of the session and venue can be discussed.

For photography sessions that include outdoor practice, the route and weather arrangements will also be confirmed. Bring clothing suitable for the agreed activities.

What to bring

Photography course

Your camera, a charged battery and a memory card with space. A camera with adjustable aperture, shutter speed and ISO is recommended. If you are unsure, include your camera model in your enquiry.

Lightroom course

For practical editing, plan to bring a laptop, charger and, if you would like, a small selection of your photographs saved on the laptop. Work on copies rather than overwriting your originals. Bringing photographs is optional: you can learn with Emanuele’s examples. The Lightroom version and software requirements are still to be confirmed. Please check with Emanuele before buying a subscription or equipment.

Private tuition

Tell me which camera or Lightroom edition you already use and what you would like to learn. We will agree suitable equipment for your lesson before you buy anything.

Portrait evening

Bring your camera, a charged battery and a memory card with space. Any specific equipment requirements and lighting arrangements will be confirmed with the session details.

A clear foundation, adapted to you.

Each course covers its essential subjects, but it does not follow a rigid minute-by-minute agenda. Emanuele adapts the examples, depth and pace to the group’s experience, questions and interests, making sure everyone can follow. Private tuition is planned around your own goals and experience.

The optional photo profile on the preference form helps with that preparation. It covers confidence with composition and camera controls, experience, favourite subjects and what you hope to achieve.

Booking arrangements

An enquiry is the start of a conversation. Before you book, you will be given the date, location, total price, session requirements, payment instructions and cancellation or rescheduling terms for the session.

No place is reserved and no payment is taken through this website. If your plans change after enquiring, simply contact Emanuele.
