There is room to keep learning.

These are not necessarily the best photographs I have taken. I’m sharing them because they give me something to learn from: what works, what doesn’t, and what I would try differently.

It’s easy to show only the beautiful, striking images and leave the hundreds that felt “not good enough” out of sight. But those photographs belong to the journey too. Seeing only the highlights can make your own attempts feel like you’re falling short, especially when you’re starting out.

If you come home with one photograph you like out of a hundred attempts, that’s absolutely fine. The others can help you see what to try next. Here I share what I’m learning about technique and the message I want to convey.
