Practise Italian while taking photographs: talk about colours, light and what you see. We can mix Italian conversation with English explanations, at a pace that feels comfortable.
Photography remains the focus, with informal conversation adapted to your Italian level. Come on your own, with friends, or ask about a session for your conversation group. Tell me your starting level and how many people would join.

From noticing the light to finishing the image.
A landscape can look beautiful in front of you and feel flat in the photograph. We can work on that gap: deciding what the image is about, finding a viewpoint, managing exposure and recognising when a different moment would give you better light. The same care can then carry through into the edit.
Work with changing light
Explore exposure, depth of field and shutter speed with your own equipment. We can compare what changes when you move, wait or frame differently, instead of relying on extra equipment to solve every problem.
Finish with a natural edit
For Lightroom tuition, bring your laptop and selected files. We can work on recovering useful detail, balancing colour and keeping an edit believable. Your Lightroom edition and starting point will help us plan what to cover.
How it works

We will choose a specific location together, taking account of access, walking distance and the weather. Any venue permission, admission or parking arrangements will be checked before the session is confirmed.
If you and a few friends would like to learn together, describe your interests and experience levels when enquiring. I will suggest a format and confirm the total price, including any travel charge. A few practical questions.
Do I need special landscape equipment?
Start by telling me which camera and lenses you already use. We can plan useful exercises around them. If a particular exercise needs a tripod or other equipment, we will discuss that in advance.
Can we work outdoors and then use Lightroom?
Ask about a session covering both. We will agree a realistic length and a suitable indoor place for the editing part, with the total price confirmed before booking.
What if the weather changes?
For an outdoor lesson, we will agree how to handle unsuitable weather before booking. Depending on the session, we can discuss an indoor alternative or a different date.
