Make photographs with a sense of place. I arrange private photography and Lightroom tuition in Liverpool, with lessons in English or Italian and the option of informal Italian conversation as you practise.

ITALIANO

Prefer to learn in Italian?

Photography and Lightroom lessons can be taught entirely in Italian. Ask questions and work through the technical terms in the language you feel most comfortable using, with time to try things for yourself.

ENGLISH + ITALIANO

Learning Italian? Bring your camera.

Practise Italian while taking photographs: talk about colours, light and what you see. We can mix Italian conversation with English explanations, at a pace that feels comfortable.

Photography remains the focus, with informal conversation adapted to your Italian level. Come on your own, with friends, or ask about a session for your conversation group. Tell me your starting level and how many people would join.

What we can work on

Build a story from light, space and movement.

A city scene can contain more than one photograph. A Liverpool session can focus on deciding what matters: a building against the sky, a reflection, a passing figure or a detail that gives a wider scene its character. We can use a small set of exercises to move from collecting views to making deliberate images.

01

Frame the city and waterfront

On a suitable agreed route, explore scale, reflections and foreground choices. Compare what changes when you move closer, choose a different lens or leave more space around a subject.

02

Choose how to show movement

Practise deciding when to freeze movement and when to allow blur. We can work on shutter speed, focus and camera steadiness, with exercises matched to your equipment and confidence.

03

Give the edit a clear direction

Use a selection of your photographs for Lightroom tuition indoors. Work on exposure, colour and local adjustments, then export a set that feels consistent without forcing every image to look the same.

How it works

Agree the location before making the journey.

Tell me which part of Liverpool suits you. We will discuss a manageable outdoor route or an indoor location for camera or Lightroom work. Travel time, walking distance, access and the conditions on the day all help us decide on a useful session length.

For a small group of friends or an Italian conversation group, send the number of people, photography experience and Italian levels. I will suggest a format and confirm the total price, including any travel charge and agreed parking or venue costs. Your enquiry does not reserve a date or commit you to a booking.

Your preferred area, camera or Lightroom version, learning goals and number of people.

  2. Agree the details

I reply with a suggestion. We confirm the date, length, location and total price, including any travel charge, before booking.

  3. Come ready to practise

Bring the equipment we agree on. For an outdoor lesson: a charged battery, space on your memory card and shoes suited to the route.

Before you get in touch

A few practical questions.

Can our Italian conversation group join?

Yes, ask about a private group session combining photography with informal Italian conversation. We can talk about light, colour and what we see, using English when needed. Tell me everyone’s starting level before we plan it.

Is there a fixed Liverpool studio?

I arrange lessons at agreed locations in Liverpool. The meeting point or indoor venue is confirmed before booking; a permanent studio is not advertised here.

Can a lesson focus on Lightroom instead of a walk?

Yes. Tell me your Lightroom version, laptop and the editing problems you want to work on. We will agree a suitable indoor location and session length.
